Get Out is a 2017 horror-thriller written and directed by Jordan Peele, starring Daniel Kaluuya as a young man meeting his girlfriend's parents at their remote family home.
In our play-through the early clips were low-key and atmospheric: a boy sitting on a bed facing a glowing TV in a blue-lit bedroom, and a view of a passing forest from a moving car. Nothing overtly frightening appears early, which is part of the challenge.
Tip: when the clips feel like an ordinary drive to the countryside with an uneasy mood, think of recent "social thriller" horror.
