Flagpie is a daily geography puzzle by Tom, known as GeoTom, in which you identify a country from a pie chart of its flag’s colours. Type a country and submit it within five guesses; wrong answers reveal clues about the target country.
How do you read the Flagpie chart?
The chart turns a flag into colour proportions rather than showing its stripes or emblem. Look at the biggest slices first, then check the small dots labelled “Colours below 1%”: those can point to details that occupy very little of the flag. The official FAQ says these tiny colours are listed separately from the main chart. When several flags come to mind, compare the slice sizes before committing to a guess.
In our October 29, 2026 daily round with hints enabled, the chart was almost evenly divided between red and blue, with a thin white slice and five small colour dots. We recognised the combination and solved it on the first guess, without using a hint.
What changes after a wrong guess?
We replayed the same puzzle inside an iframe after already knowing its answer. France used one attempt and revealed that the target had one neighbouring country; Cuba used another and added a population hint of 11.1 million. The third guess completed the replay. Those clues described the target, not France or Cuba, so use them to narrow the candidate list rather than treating them as a comparison with your last guess.
The official rules list size and then continent as the later hints. Each miss trades one of your five attempts for more information, so compare the chart with plausible flags before spending the next guess.
Can you play more than one puzzle?
The daily game provides a new country each day. After our win, Play Another led to an archive page offering Premium access to past puzzles. The official FAQ says there is no separate unlimited mode. We did not purchase access to the archive.
