Our take

Daily Word Lamps is Total Crafter’s daily word-guessing puzzle using vocabulary from a selected Bible version. Enter a word of the chosen length and use the lamps’ position clues to find the answer within six guesses.

The vocabulary filter mattered before we had used three attempts. In our desktop test on October 30, 2026, ASHEN earned a discovery notice instead of becoming a counted guess. We played as a guest using World English Bible and completed the October 29 five-letter Daily unaided in three guesses.

A real word can become a discovery

Our first submission was an accidental GRAXE. The game rejected it with “That word isn’t in World English Bible” and kept us in the first row. Clicking the fourth lamp let us replace X with C and submit GRACE without losing an attempt to the typo.

ASHEN behaved differently. After two accepted guesses, it opened “New discovery,” explaining that this common word was absent from World English Bible. Choosing Keep playing returned us to the same third row with the letters still editable. We changed the final letter, submitted again and solved.

That distinction is useful when a familiar word fails to advance the board: check whether you received a rejection or a discovery, then edit the current row. Neither event consumed an attempt in our round. The filter concerns words appearing in the selected version, rather than only biblical names or religious terms; STEAL was one of our accepted guesses.

Read the outline as well as the light

A lit lamp means the letter is correctly placed. An unlit lamp with a white outline means it belongs elsewhere; a dim lamp means it is absent or, for repeated letters, exceeds the answer’s occurrences, according to the rules.

GRACE placed A and E elsewhere while eliminating G, R and C. STEAL then kept S, E and A in play while ruling out T and L. Those two rows made rearranging known letters more useful than starting again with unrelated vocabulary. Our third accepted word produced the Solved panel and “in 3 guesses.”

Check the version before comparing results

The official rules describe daily puzzles by Bible version, a 90-day selection window and a midnight UTC reset. The interface also offers five-, six- and seven-letter sizes. Before comparing a result with someone else, check the date, size and Bible version.

Guest entry let us finish this five-letter puzzle without creating an account. The entry notice reserves version choice and saved progress for account holders. If you want to puzzle with the wording of a particular translation, check that requirement before starting with the guest version.
